Boviloxx®

BOVILOXX® is a 2-component dip for dairy cows based on chlorine dioxide. The product consists of activator and base, which are freshly mixed with each milking. This creates the extremely effective active ingredient chlorine dioxide. BOVILOXX® has a wide range of effects, rapid killing of bacteria (confirmed by an independent institute according to DIN EN 1656) and no risk of resistance build-up.

The caring components in BOVILOXX® ensure a supple teat skin. A surplus of lactic acid supports the skin’s natural protective acid mantle. BOVILOXX® is free of IOD, chlorhexidine, amino alcohols and QAVs (quaternary ammonium compounds).

Application

The BOVILOXX® working solution is prepared from activator (active ingredient 26.4 g / kg L – (+) – lactic acid) and base (active ingredient 6.4 g / kg sodium chlorite) in a mixing ratio of 1: 1 for each milking. After mixing activator + base, up to 0.3% chlorine dioxide is produced. Only mix the amount needed for 1 milking. Approximately 3 ml is required per cow and milking. Immediately after removing the cluster, immerse the teats in the BOVILOXX® working solution or spray them sufficiently (avoid spray shadows). Allow BOVILOXX® to dry on the teat before the cows leave the milking parlor (especially important in icy or very cold weather). Clean the dip cup or spray bottle sufficiently. Before the next milking, clean the teats sufficiently before attaching the milking cluster.
