Easy Fix Slat Rubber

Description

The Easyfix patented Slat Mats are made from dense rubber, particularly durable and extremely hardwearing. They are made in moulds designed to fit all different lengths and widths of slats manufactured in the country. These slats range in length from 10.5 to 16.5 wide rib widths of 120, 127, 140, 152, 160 and 180mm. Each mat covers two slats but the gap between the two remains uncovered. The mats have studs measuring 50mm x 50mm by the width of the slat-opening cast on their underside. These studs fit down into the gaps between the slats. This combined with their weight ensures that they do not lift or move on the slats even under severe lateral pressure as cattle push to get off the feed barriers. The system has obvious advantages over past and present methods of slat mats. These other materials are essentially soft, air filled cubicle mats left on slats with holes cut out. Over time edges become frayed, mats flatten out resulting in a much dirtier environment.

The Easyfix system is suitable for new and existing slats. The solid standings at the front and rear of the pens are fitted with solid rubber matting (same density as slat mat) and are secured in place using steel screws. A cross section of the slat mat show that they are 25mm thick in the centre tapering off gently to give an 18mm thick covering over the rest of the slat surface. The patented profile ensures good draining to the gaps between the ribs, whilst not steering the animals hoof into the gap. Easyfix slat rubber is the market header in Southern and Northern Ireland. It also sells extensively in the UK and Scotland. The product also sells in Holland and the product will be launched in other EU Countries in 2005
